Last Tuesday 8th Feb saw 30 excited and eager juniors kitted out and raring to go in the fantastic indoor net arena at Lancashire CCC, this year we have been successful in securing ALL five indoor nets for our juniors for 10 whole weeks until 12th April. For the first time ever we had 6 lucky U9s who have had the opportunity to experience the indoor facility which will give them a head start to improve their cricket skills as they re enter the SMJCL as contenders for the friendly league title and cup!
The Friday night training sessions that have been held throughout the winter months at The Manchester Health Academy, has seen many of our juniors develop their stamina, fitness and fielding skills which we believe will prove to stand them in good stead for their season at WCC in all age groups.
Everyone who attend both Lancs and MHA have been a credit to WCC and proves that Wythenshawe CC has a wealth of junior talent and have the potential to improve on league placings this's hoping that some silverware will be making its way to Wythenshawe again this season.
Thanks to all who have been able to offer their time and support in making all this happen for our juniors...Tracy Bailey Jnr Secretary.
